Snap, that’s good!
Sometimes you need to have multiple windows open at once, unfortunately not all of us are lucky enough to have a second screen and so manually fitting multiple windows onto your screen is the only way to go. This is a task which wastes valuable time and is frankly quite boring. There is a simple solution to this: tapping Windows + Left Arrow snaps a window left, Windows + Right Arrow to the right, Windows + Up Arrow maximises the window whilst Window + Down Arrow inevitably minimises it. A simple way to organise your monitor in a flash!
The email comes in at the end of the days; you are told it is critical, a ten page report, one key word, it’s a needle in the haystack situation. Luckily you don’t have to spend an obscene amount of time waiting for the chosen word to jump out of the screen at you. Ctrl + F will open the Find function in any program, including your internet browser, all you have to do is then type in the word which you wish to search for. It will find every instance of that word in your document or open web page.
Lost For Words
Do you spend an inordinate amount of time looking for the perfect words for a report? Search for just the right words to put a client at ease? Sometimes this can be an exhaustive task, especially for anyone that isn’t a wordsmith, and searching the internet for an alternative is tedious. A handy solution can be found by highlighting the word you want to look up and hitting Shift + F7 to boot up the thesaurus. Suddenly you will have a world of possibility!
So, you’ve been working away all day, intent on your tasks and opening file after file after word document. Then you realise you need something vital on your desktop – cue the long-suffering sigh and the tedious process of minimising every last window. Fear not! A quick click of Windows Key + M will have you face to face with your gorgeous kitten background once again.
