Why you should approach a business relationship the same way you would a personal one
Google chrome is now the most popular browser available, with 68% of users in December 2015 in the UK alone. Across all devices it is known as the most reliable and quickest browser out there- however there is so much more to Chrome than just browsing.
With extensions and add-ons in there thousands, deciding what is right for you is difficult. Here are what we think are the best and are the some of the most popular extensions that will make your life more efficient, you browsing more organised and your days more productive.
The best way to save ‘stuff’ that you want to watch, read, or analyse later. All you have to do is hit the Pocket extension when you are on something you want to keep and watch later on- how often in your working day might you come across something very interesting but completely irrelevant to the task at hand- Pocket allows you to save the content and view it later, with or without an internet connection and with any of your synchronised devices.
Evernote Web Clipper
Think of Evernote as an on-line filing cabinet- you could even use it alongside Pocket, start by saving your links to read later on Pocket, and those you want to file forever transfer to Evernote. This tool also enables you to grab images from the web, make annotations and create summary links allowing a distraction free version for later use.
Stayfocused
Often find that your job means staring at a screen all day? It’s very easy to become distracted and find yourself straying to certain websites that are clearly timewasters. StayFocused is an ideal way to boost your productivity, or reduce your unproductivity. Basically, Stayfocused will allow you to set time allowances on those distracting sites, Facebook, YouTube, and Stumble Upon? Whatever it is, it will be blocked once your time is up. Of course that’s if you want to be productive!
AdBlock
Block ads before they are loaded by your browser! Speed up your page loading plus get rid of those irritating flashing advertisements. One of the most popular extensions available, AdBlock can remove most ads from showing on Chrome- it also stops you from clicking on potentially harmful ads that may want to download something harmful to your computer.
LastPass
‘The last password you will ever need’. LastPass is a clever and secure way to manage your passwords. It can generate new passwords whenever you need them and allow you to easily access your existing passwords, including account and credit card details to allow you to make quicker purchases online. Stop wasting time, creating, remembering, forgetting and rewriting your passwords!
Momentum
Last but not least (and my favourite) Momentum is that little burst of inspiration you need every day! Each of Chromes new tabs are replaced with a dashboard that is unique to you- with scenic backgrounds, daily inspirational quotes and the option to add links to your favourite sites (don’t forget to use StayFocused on those though!)
