THE PRECISIONIST

What I do at Q2Q:

I am the team leader for the senior engineering team here at Q2Q whilst also being a senior engineer myself.

I oversee the day to day operations of the senior engineering team, managing new client onboardings, overseeing client projects, resolving escalated tickets and high priority (crisis) issues. I also take a hands on approach and work directly on some of the above issues when required, whilst sharing any knowledge, experience and idea’s to lead the team to further success.

Background and Achievements

I started my working life in supply chain, where I naturally transitioned to implementing a new ERP system for the same company. This project sparked my passion for IT, following which I promptly made the decision to study IT (in particular Network Engineering) at university whilst also gaining a part time entry job in the role. Following my graduation I worked full time as an technical support engineer then I progressed to a senior technical support engineer, finally moving to team leader.

Hobbies and Interests

I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, being outside, dogs, music, food, enjoying a good game or watching a good film.

Music, food and being outside.

I love rap/hip-hop, drum and bass and so many different bands and singers, it’s too hard to choose a favourite!

Not really my thing but if I had to sing a song on Karaoke it would be: Seventeen Going Under by Sam Fender.

Hmmm tough question maybe horror films.

Progress my knowledge in networking with a focus on SD-WAN and BGP, cloud infrastructure, and expanding my preferred vendor list to learn other platforms whilst also settling into my new role as a team leader.

I don’t really have a favourite one, but I am really enjoying SDWAN at the moment.
