Lyle & Scott
As well as managing all Lyle and Scott's IT contracts and providing support for their operational and warehousing PCs and Servers, Q2Q also are involved in overseeing the development of their e-commerce web site.
Lyle & Scott have been a prestigious brand name for 130 years. The company is based in Selkirk and their speciality is the design and sourcing of authentic Scottish Knitwear.
In 2005 Lyle & Scott outsourced their IT to Q2Q, who took on the management of all their existing IT contracts and the day-to-day support of their PCs and Servers at their operational and warehousing sites.
In Aug 2006 we managed the transition of their existing static web site to a full e-commerce enabled site. Part of this process involved the development of an intermediate database system on a SQL Server to interface between the existing legacy mainframe system and the XML requirements of the e-commerce web feeds. This intermediate system is also responsible for providing the associated e-commerce reporting, as well as more "user friendly" reporting from the mainframe system.
