Lyle & Scott
As well as managing all Lyle & Scott's IT contracts and providing support for operational and warehousing PCs and Servers, Q2Q were also involved in overseeing the development of the e-commerce web site.
Lyle & Scott have been a prestigious brand name for 130 years. The company is based in Selkirk and specialises is the design and manufacture of authentic Scottish Knitwear.
In 2005 Lyle & Scott outsourced their IT to Q2Q, who took on the management of existing IT contracts and the day-to-day support of PCs and servers at the operational and warehousing sites.
In Aug 2006 Q2Q managed the transition of the existing static web site to a fully e-commerce enabled site. Part of the process involved the development of an intermediate database system on an SQL Server to interface between the existing legacy mainframe system and the XML requirements of the e-commerce web feeds. The intermediate system is also responsible for providing the associated e-commerce reporting, as well as more "user friendly" reporting from the mainframe system.
